Originally produced for the Dayton’s Valentines Day Sale. This poster was created using a unique analog process. 4 distinct black an white paintings were created for a printing press, each to represent the CMYK value of the final piece. Therefore, while there are 4 original black and white paintings that were used to create this image, no original full color painting exists, although Sellars did create similar paintings. This imagery was created while Sellars was Art Director of Dayton’s for promotion of the annual Valentines Day Sale and was printed in print media.
